Travel Inspired October Faves!

Can you believe October is already over? The days have just been flying by over here. You will find lots of travel favorites this month with trips to Toronto and Ottawa and week-end adventures in the Laurentians.

October favorites

1. Louis Vuitton Keepall Bandoulière 60: A can’t travel without must. This bag fits so much in it and I highly recommend the bandoulière as it it much easier to travel with. Check out this video for tricks on how to pack a Keepall.

2. Halogen pleat front a-line skirt: I got this from Nordstrom before I left for the POC conference in Toronto and this skirt was a big hit. Extremely comfortable, doesn’t wrinkle and best of all it has pockets!

3. Stainless steel 3-in-1 ECOlunchbox: The worst part about packing a lunch is finding a container with a matching lid. Even organizers have difficulty keeping tupperware in order in their own homes. With this bento box style container it is easy to pack your lunch keep everything separated. Highly recommended!

4. Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick in Bitch Perfect: It might just be the name of this particular shade, but this is my new favorite lipstick. It is the perfect go with everything day-to-night nude.

5. Hermès scarf: I have a love affair for all things Hermès and hope to one day have an insane Hermès scarf collection. I just scored this one on sale on The Real Real. Check them out. You can find luxury pieces for a fraction of a price!

6. Sweater stone: With the cooler temperatures, I am definitely reaching for more and more sweaters. To keep them in tip-top shape, I use this handy little sweater stone to get all the little pills off and always hand wash with The Laundress Wool & Cashmere Shampoo.

7. Command Strip Decorating Clips: My number one pet peeve is walking into a room and seing the cords from the table lambs. I use these little decorating clips to hide the cords behind the side tables.

8. My Little Steamer Go Mini Hand Steamer: This is my holy-grail, will not travel without, hands down favorite item. I bring this everywhere! It takes up very little room in your suitcase and is perfect for getting out all the wrinkles that come with packing.

September Faves!

Wow, September just flew by! Here are some of our can’t live without September favourites:

Favorites, stuart weitzman, j.crew, fashion

1. The Simplified Planner: This planner is everything! We love the simple layout for each day and the Happy Stripe pattern just adds a dash of fun to our daily routine.

2. & 3. Wool & Cashmere spray and shampoo: With fall just beginning, we like to wash all our sweaters and spray them so they all have that fresh cedar scent. These products really help cut dry-cleaning cost and keep your sweaters in better condition.

4. Huggable Hangers: Where would we be without these? We can’t imagine not using this product everyday. They help keep  clothes on the hanger and off the floor!

5. Stuart Weitzman Lowland Boots: Is it even fall if you are not wearing over-the-knee boots? We believe in investing in quality pieces that will last season after season and these boots are exactly that.

6. J.Crew flannel excursion vest: We love us some J.Crew and we might have a small collection of excursion vests in our closets, but how could you say no to a flannel one?

7. Ça Va De Soi turtleneck: #sweaterweather. Nobody does a good sweater like Ça Va de Soi.

What were your go to items this September?

This month we’re getting ready for thanksgiving, making pumpkin pie and writing down what we’re thankful for.

Happy fall, y’all!

Container Store favourites!

When we’re not at Holt Renfrew, you can definitely find us shopping online at The Container Store (#CanadianProblems). They have a variety of products to help you organize any space. We decided to share our fave Container Store products that we can’t live without.

Container store favorites

1. The clear acrylic shelf dividers are a great way to keep piles of sweaters from toppling over. We especially love this model from The Container Store because of it’s built in hanger hook!

2. An easy way to streamline your closet and increase your hanging space is to switch all your hangers to Huggable Hangers! We love this product because the hangers are non-slip and keep even the slinkiest of tops off the floor. They come in a variety of colours, but we like the chic look of all black.

3. We hate leaving empty hangers on the rod. So to keep things organized we always have a freestanding hanger organizer in our closets.

4. There is nothing worse than rummaging through your hosiery drawer looking for a specific pair of tights early in the morning. We use StoxBox to keep all of our tights neatly organized.

5. The Grey drop-front boxes are a great tool to store a ton of different items. We like to store our cashmere sweaters in these! The drop down front makes for easy access.

6. The 32 Compartment Drawer Organizer is perfect for storing ties, socks or undergarments. It helps keep everything visible and neatly placed.

7. This scarf organizer from Umbra is equal parts function and form! What’s not to love about a hanger that keeps scarves organized and looks beautiful at the same time?

8. The clear jewelry chest is a great piece to store all your baubles so they are easily accessible and tangle free. We also love the the acrylic makeup chest to store all of our products!
